Our trip to Sanremo was for pure relaxing time, chasing the sun, the ocean and, of course, good Italian food and drinks. We had 3 sunny days and we could find out good ways to enjoy the city and the Mediterranean Summer à l’italienne. Check out now our favorites:
* Enjoy the beach!
Most of beach places are private, with beach clubs where you can rent sunshades and beach chairs for a day or a half day (from 2pm). As we don’t like to stay at the beach for hours and hours along, the second option was very useful to us and we paid around 18 Euros for a sunshade + two beach beds. Most of these clubs close at 19h, which is great because you can enjoy the sun until the time of Aperitivo.
* When in Italy, have an Aperitivo
We love the idea of the Italian aperitivo and it isn’t different in Sanremo. For a happy hour with nice drinks and snacks, we really recommend the rooftop bar of the beach club La Fontana (Sky & Sand), where you can enjoy an Aperol Spritz with the amazing view of the ocean. The bar closes at 9pm during the Summer, but arrive early to get a good table with this privileged view.
* Rent a bike!
The cycling path “Ponente Ligure” has 24 km and is a very nice structure from San Lorenzo al Mare to Ospedaletti’s beaches. You don’t have to do all the route, of course, but it is a great way and opportunity to appreciate the view and the Italian Riviera. There are lot of places to rent bikes and also good cafés, bars and restaurants along the course to have a good break.
Find more about it here!
* Explore La Pigna
Sanremo is a very charming place and one of the reasons is La Pigna (the Pine Cone), Sanremo’s old town. The tiny streets and stairs have a lot of historical buildings and, when you arrive at the top, you can see the beautiful church Santuario Madonna della Costa and the best view of all Sanremo.
* Visit the Villa Nobel park
The Villa Nobel, an amazing house which owes its name to Alfred Nobel (who established the famous Nobel Prize while living there), has a very nice park next to it, including several botanical species. The building today houses a museum dedicated to the Swedish scientist.
* We ❤ Italian food
Sanremo is next to the ocean, so you’re at the right place if you like fresh seafood. The city has a lot of options to eat, but during high seasons we recommend to always make a reservation for lunch or dinner. We still have good memories about the delicious pizzas we had in the La Vita è Bella restaurant (just in front of the Casinò di Sanremo) and also dreaming about the pasta with clams from Flipper di Alborno Libero (by the port).
If you have any doubts about Sanremo, leave your comment or send us an email to contact.atelier1202@gmail.com. We’ll be extremely happy to help!

The European Summer and its incredible sun inspire us to travel even more, but we know that it can be hard to compose great outfits when it is 30 C° . That’s why it’s time to invest in good key items to keep you chic even after a long day of walk and beach.
Something White
White is the tone of the summer: It’s fresh and you can combine it with basically all your luggage. See how good accessories also make your outfit more elegant and still casual for the hot days.
One piece is always a good idea
Nothing is easier to wear than a dress or a jumpsuit: You just have to put it on and you’re ready! A good pair of flat sandals or your favorite white sneakers should keep you comfortable, while caramel accessories are also a good variation to the usual black.
Shirt on the Beach
We believe that a nice cover-up shirt is perfect at the beach but also for a lunch somewhere else afterwards without you looking like you just took a dip in the ocean. It is also a different, stylish and convenient way to wear your bikini in case you unexpectedly get the chance to hit the beach or pool during your trip.

Enjoy your Vitamin Sea!
April is a very special month for me (mine and also of some very beloved people’s birthdays are on April), so let’s share some of my favorite moments and things of this sunny (but still cold) month of the year:
Hello, Spring!
The Spring in Europe started in March, but it was in April we started to feel the flowers and the sunny weather more. Here in Geneva it is still mostly cold, but the flowers on the parks are already very beautiful, and it is so refreshing! The season of drinks at the lake, picnics and barbecues is open!
See you next winter, ski season!
Our Easter holidays in Zermatt closed the cold season and started my 30 years old with lot of style. We will miss the cute villages, the snow, the après-skis and the hot beverages. It was awesome, but now we feel we’re ready for warmth and sun!
Netflix & Couch
This month, two series caught my attention in very different ways: 13 Reasons Why has a dense story and I could not rest until I watched the last episode. The series is based on the novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher and adapted by Brian Yorkey for Netflix, with Selena Gomez as executive producer. Of course, a theme like suicide can be disturbing, but it is also an extremely important topic to discuss and, besides that, the story is directed in a captivating and surprising way.
Another Netflix original series that I’m loving to watch is the comedy Girlboss, based on Sophia Amoruso’s autobiography Girlboss, the book. Sophia Amoruso is founder of the famous Nasty Girl, and the series is about how a rebel girl (including stealing and prison), who began selling vintage clothes on eBay, had built a multi-million-dollar fashion empire. I recommend it for those who love fashion or just a good and relaxing comedy.
See you in May, hope it will be sunnier with lot of beautiful shining days for work and have fun!
You read here our first post about travel looks – Winter edition, and I thought it’d be more than fair to honour the most beautiful season of all: Spring has arrived in the northern hemisphere, so let’s enjoy it and prepare an appropriate suitcase for this season.
The challenge is to make combinations that suit the mild temperatures, so you will not feel too cold or hot. I hope you like the tips to make a smart, fashion and fit suitcase!
It is not so hot yet, but sometimes at lunch time it gets warmer and you don’t want to go to the hotel to change (sometimes, this isn’t even possible!). That’s why the classical tip to wear layers is a very smart practice. To add some style, try to mix neutral colours, accessories, and your best friend: The jeans jacket. Look how versatile it can be when used over cardigans, light sweaters or adding nice accessories as necklaces and scarves.
White Pants!
White pants on travels can be polemical because they might not be very practical (you might have to wash them before using again for instance), but I think it is the perfect item for spring: You don’t feel cold, but can compose light looks as the season asks. You can use with jeans shirts or striped blouses, for example, and mix it with accessories: It’s an excellent idea to skip the traditional blue jeans.
Show & Cover
If you’re ready to use skirts and shorts, it is nice to include a third piece like blazers and light jackets, or even a long sleeve sweater. You’ll feel protected and you can elaborate the outfit with the right accessories. Believe me: You can change an entire look with a nice pair of earrings or a couple of powerful bracelets.
